Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, activating, or using the GEO Rank Optimizer plugin (‘Plugin’), developed by Alex Barbosa / GEO Rank Optimizer (‘Developer’), you (‘User’) confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms of Use in their entirety. If you do not agree with any provision herein, you must immediately uninstall the Plugin and cease all use.

2. Description of the Plugin

GEO Rank Optimizer is a WordPress plugin designed to optimize website content for Generative Engine Optimization (GEO). The Plugin provides features including content analysis and scoring, Schema Markup generation, AI reference file creation (llms.txt, ai.txt), bot monitoring, and — in the Pro version — AI-powered content rewriting suggestions via integration with third-party artificial intelligence services.

3. License

The Developer grants the User a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Plugin solely on WordPress websites owned or administered by the User, in compliance with these Terms. The following actions are strictly prohibited:

  • Sublicensing, selling, redistributing, or transferring the Plugin or any part thereof to third parties without prior written authorization from the Developer.
  • Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the Plugin.
  • Using the Plugin for unlawful purposes or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
  • Removing or altering any proprietary notices, labels, or marks on the Plugin.
4. User Responsibilities

The User is solely responsible for:

  • All content published on their website, including content generated, suggested, or modified with the assistance of the Plugin.
  • Reviewing, verifying, and approving any AI-generated content before publication.
  • Ensuring that published content is accurate, lawful, and does not infringe upon the rights of any third party.
  • Maintaining appropriate backups of their website and content before using any Plugin feature that modifies existing content.
  • Complying with the terms of service of any third-party AI providers whose API keys are used within the Plugin (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google).
5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Plugin is provided ‘as is’ and ‘as available,’ without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. The Developer does not warrant that:

  • The Plugin will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components.
  • The results obtained through the Plugin will be accurate, complete, or reliable.
  • Any defects in the Plugin will be corrected.

The User assumes all risks associated with the use of the Plugin and any content generated through it.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to the use of, or inability to use, the Plugin, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of data, revenue, profits, or business opportunities.
  • Damage to reputation or goodwill resulting from published content.
  • Errors, inaccuracies, or harmful content generated by third-party AI services integrated into the Plugin.
  • Any claims by third parties arising from content published by the User.

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory under which the claim arises and even if the Developer has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

7. AI-Generated Content

The Pro version of GEO Rank Optimizer includes features that use third-party artificial intelligence APIs (including OpenAI, Anthropic/Claude, and Google Gemini) to generate content suggestions. The User acknowledges and agrees that:

  • All AI-generated content is provided as a suggestion only and requires explicit human review and approval before publication.
  • The Developer is not responsible for any inaccuracies, errors, hallucinations, or harmful content produced by third-party AI models.
  • The User is the sole editorial decision-maker and bears full responsibility for any content approved and published on their website.
  • The Developer does not review, monitor, or store the content generated by third-party AI services on behalf of the User.
8. Third-Party Services

The Plugin may connect to third-party services to provide certain functionality. Use of such services is governed by their respective terms of service and privacy policies. The Developer is not affiliated with, and bears no responsibility for, the actions, content, or policies of any third-party service provider.

9. Modifications to the Terms

The Developer reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Updated terms will be made available at https://georankoptimizer.com. Continued use of the Plugin after any modification constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. It is the User’s responsibility to review the Terms periodically.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Brazil, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Brazil.
