Disclaimer of Liability

1. General Disclaimer

GEO Rank Optimizer (‘Plugin’) is provided by Alex Barbosa / GEO Rank Optimizer (‘Developer’) strictly as a tool to assist website owners in optimizing their content for generative AI search engines. The Developer makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability, or availability of the Plugin or the information, features, and results obtained through its use.

2. No Guarantee of Results

The Plugin provides analysis, scores, and suggestions based on established GEO criteria and AI-generated recommendations. However, the Developer does not guarantee that:

  • The use of the Plugin will result in improved visibility, rankings, or citations in any AI-powered search engine or generative response system.
  • Any score, recommendation, or suggestion provided by the Plugin reflects current or future standards of any AI platform.
  • Results will be consistent across different AI platforms, languages, or content types.

Search engine and AI platform algorithms change frequently and without notice. The Developer is not responsible for any fluctuations in visibility or performance resulting from such changes.

3. Disclaimer Regarding AI-Generated Content

The Pro version of GEO Rank Optimizer includes features that use third-party artificial intelligence APIs to generate content rewriting suggestions. With respect to such AI-generated content, the Developer expressly disclaims all liability for:

  • Factual inaccuracies, errors, or hallucinations produced by any AI model.
  • Content that is misleading, offensive, defamatory, or otherwise harmful.
  • Infringement of intellectual property rights resulting from AI-generated text.
  • Any harm, loss, or legal claim arising from the publication of AI-generated content by the User.

The User is the sole editorial decision-maker. All AI-generated content requires explicit human review and approval before publication. The Developer shall bear no liability whatsoever for content that the User chooses to publish.

4. Editorial Responsibility

By approving and publishing any content suggestion generated through the Plugin, the User assumes full and exclusive editorial responsibility for that content. This includes, but is not limited to, responsibility for:

  • The accuracy and truthfulness of published statements.
  • Compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and platform policies.
  • Respect for the intellectual property, privacy, and reputation rights of third parties.
  • Any claims, damages, or penalties arising from the published content.
5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer, its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and licensors shall not be liable for any:

  • Direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities.
  • Damage to the User’s website, server, or digital infrastructure.
  • Claims by third parties arising from content published with the assistance of the Plugin.

This limitation of liability applies regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, strict liability, or otherwise) under which the claim arises, and even if the Developer has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

6. Indemnification

The User agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Developer and its affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to:

  • The User’s use of the Plugin.
  • Any content published by the User with the assistance of the Plugin.
  • The User’s violation of these terms or any applicable law or regulation.
  • Any claim by a third party that the User’s published content infringes their rights.
7. Third-Party Services

The Plugin integrates with third-party AI services (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini) and the WordPress platform. The Developer is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of these services. Use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and policies, and the Developer assumes no liability arising from such use.

8. Applicable Law

This Disclaimer of Liability is governed by the laws of Brazil. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Brazil. If any provision of this Disclaimer is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
